A spanner in the works

Hi everyone. I have found a small problem for myself and I thought I'd update a little about it.

The device I use for writing purposes has decided to unexpectedly "kick the bucket". To list a few other analogies: push up daisies, bought the farm, found eternal rest, gave up the ghost, shuffle off this mortal coil, or cark it - the latter being my favourite term for it.

All jokes aside, I am unfortunately left without a manner to persue this creative outlet until I can get the ol' thing repaired - which is an unexpected financial stress I didn't foresee occuring.

I have got my works backed up on Google Docs: I did have this foresight considering the last time it decided to do the whirly dance with death.

If you feel it's placed on your heart to donate to the cause, I have a ko-fi link. This is absolutely no pressure at all - it will get done regardless, but I'll be limping on through to the next paycheck and be mighty sad about it.

Tldr: My Surface-Pro is no longer working - I am aiming to get it repaired asap. It is expensive, and I am having a whinge.

That's all from me for now! Love you guys lots, and I can't wait to complete my WIPs as soon as I get the silly thing replaced or repaired.

Jimmy is back and —

THIS is the Jimmy I've been waiting for. This, is the man I've been missing. This, is the face I've been wanting for. This, is the smile I've been hoping for. These, are the looks, and expressions, and attitude I've been rallying for.

The aggressive ass kicking, the intensity, the force, the passion.. BUT! compassionate to a point, rightness and integrity, even a bit of kindness, sneaking out; the voice of reason - acting as Roman's conscience. Making Roman a little less evil (at least for now) in this instance.

All with a scowl, a little frown; a little serious, a little stank face, and a little attitude, but also; radiant smiles, and beaming grins, thrown in for good measure. With, some hugs.

The very apparent shock on Roman's face clearly visible, at seeing Jimmy, the utter disbelief rippling over his features as he takes him in, still not quite believing, like he's seeing a ghost, mouth slightly parted, saying - "You, did that? You, did that? You did called the play?" (*from video posted*). That Jimmy is really here? for him? Jimmy replying - "Oh yea, baby! Only for you, Uce. For you, my Uce," carefully yet joyfully smiling at Roman, conveying that he is here for him; convincing him, reassuring him with little smiles and encouraging nods - he's got his back, he is here for him, even after everything...he's not alone, he's got Jimmy. Stupidly loyal 'no yeet' Jimmy..

And, that, that just melts my heart, like cotton candy, even if my head says no yeet, Jimmy should've put up more of a fight, some kind of resistance...just a little reluctance...after all that he's been through, after all that they put him through, after how he was treated..

Is Jimmy really going to forgive and forget? Is he going to bring up the past? Set some ground rules? Be respectful and be respected?

im so mad for riz right now from a story perspective. he is putting his health, his mind, his heart into everything right now, helping his friends, reassuring his mom, trying to find out more about the people SABOTAGING everything he has RISKED HIS LIFE FOR, DIED FOR, and he is the only one taking it seriously

he is a poor goblin kid who has had every card stacked against him and even when he is pulled down by his friends, he wants to help them back up, he needs to, because he loves them, but also because without them, its over for him. he wont get into college.

he is making connections with clubs he doesnt even know about, and yeah the beekeeping club has only one member, but fabian has literally made an enemy of that club in less than five minutes. riz NEEDS extracurriculars. he NEEDS every step up he can get, and his friends own self destructive tendencies or lack of social manners are catching riz in the shrapnel.

and that's good storytelling! thats tension, thats interesting!

but my heart breaks for riz. near the end of episode 6 he tells his friends multiple times that the ratgrinders are trying to get them kicked out of school!! he is investigating and keeping his head on a swivel and trying everything in his power to stay above water. and the fact that his best friends are making it hardest for him breaks my heart.

and i loved that at the end riz said to the bad kids, lets make all our effort worth more. the time, and blood, and spells, and growth we have thrown into saving the world have to be worth it. lets make kristens platform angle it so kids that risk their lives can have an easier go of it at school. and i do love that all the bad kids felt the same way. because they are all going through rough times, they are all confused, and stressed, and breaking up and breaking down. the bad kids are all really really sweet kids, with their hearts in the right place

but still my heart breaks for riz because he is the only bad kid taking the steps and searching for a way out. and im glad riz has the heart and the love for his friends to make the tunnel out big enough for all of them
